Particle Beam Steering
In a curved crystal, channeled particles are forced to follow the curvature of the crystal, as if they were following "tracks."
When photons pass through matter, they produce electron-positron pairs, which can be separated using a strong magnetic field. Sources of this type can be integrated into future colliders, such as the Future Circular Collider (FCCee), a 100 km accelerator ring to be built at CERN.
A charged particle passing through a crystal will begin to oscillate, consequently emitting high-intensity X-rays or gamma rays.
